"When I first met Kathy Cope in 2004, my life was pretty much in shambles. Although I had been a christian since I was young, the cares of the world combined with a troubled marriage, financial problems and parenting woes made life for me almost unbearable. Kathy took me under her wing and began teaching me. She reminded me who I was in Christ and used God's word to pull me up out of the hopelessness in which I was drowning. I can honestly say that God used Kathy to save my life."

I just remember meeting Marie Prinvil the day when she came to our women's group. My heart was moved when I heard about all those children who are so desperate for food. Then when we were able to see their faces on that bulletin board, it made me think about what it would be like if those were my kids. We have no idea what it's like to go without....NO IDEA! I came home and talked with my husband about how we can help. Eric's company had recently given him a bonus and we were looking for ways that we could give, so we wrote a check that day...however, I wish I could've given more.
Here's a really good heart check...1 John 3:16-17 "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth."

Jesus tells us in His word to “Feed my lambs.” ( John 21:15) I sincerely believe that there are so many ways in which we can “feed” others. We can “feed” with food. We can “feed” with clothing. We can “feed” by providing educational opportunities. And most importantly, we can “feed” others by sowing the seed of the Word of God! I am so grateful to have the opportunity to “feed” others through Helping Haiti. This ministry is doing an amazing job by serving the needy in Haiti. I am so thankful for the work that is being done there and am happy to help provide financial backing to those who are able to go and serve there. May God continually bless their work as they “Feed His lambs!”
